The cast member of Life Below Zero clarified that she is unable to engage in many of the “old style of exercising” that she was accustomed to.

The truth was that although her body didn’t move the same manner, she was still able to exert herself in the tasks and repairs she completed around the camp.

In an effort to challenge her body, she also started doing more manual labour and less machine labour.

Aikens did require surgery following every lumbar spine surgery due to her drastic weight loss.

She had the surgery in March 2020 and told her followers on social media that she was “healing like a badass! left the hospital on my own initiative, walking.”
